Graduated from Osaka Kyoiku University (Bachelor of Music Education) and Berklee College of Music.
Studied under Toru Kitano and Dean Anderson (Boston Pops Orchestra) for percussion, Mutsuko Taneya for marimba, and John Ramsey for drum set.
Played drums and percussion for the Takarazuka Revue Company Orchestra.
Studied as a scholarship student at Berklee College of Music by recommendation of world renowned jazz vibraphonist, Gary Burton.
Was a member of The Berklee Percussion Ensemble.
Performed with Gary Burton, Peter Erskine (Ds), Dave Samuels (vibes, marimba), Vince Mendoza (arrangement and composition) etc.
Returned to Japan in 1989.
Teaches computer music at Japan Electronics College and Tokyo Institute of Polytechnics.
Worked side-by-side as a translator for such drum greats as Elvin Jones, Steve Jordan, Charley Drayton, Jerry Brown, Terri Lynn Carrington, Peter Erskine, Tommy Aldridge, David Garibaldi, Steve Houghton and many other artists for Yamaha sponsored Drum Clinics.
